What am I talking about?

If we believe in a higher power of some sort – the Universe, God, call it what serves you best – then I believe that that higher power gives us everything we need to take responsibility for our earthly lives in every way.

It seems to me that many people believe that they have to pray to God for help and assistance with what is going on in their lives. I believe that when we are born, we have that part of God already within us and all we have to do is realise this and use that power.

All we have to do is use that power.

Problem is that we are conditioned to believe that this is not true, that if we need spiritual help or emotional help or any help really when problems arrive, we have to ‘ask’ for help. We can’t do it by ourselves. We are not strong enough, important enough or God-like enough to fix our lives without external spiritual help.

And the suggestion that we already have all we need within us is met with puzzlement, incredulity or horror that we have the audacity to believe that we are as powerful as God.

But we can’t make ourselves. If we believe in God then we supposedly are made in God’s likeness… in the image of God. Therefore we come into the world complete with God’s power already within us.

Remember the man stranded on a desert island, waiting for God to come along and rescue him?

The storyline varies but it is along the lines of first a school of dolphins swims by and say, swim with us and we will help you get to the mainland. No thanks, I am waiting for God to rescue me says the man.

Then a ship comes by. Here’s a life raft – hop on and we will get you aboard and then to safely. No thanks, I am waiting for God to rescue me says the man.

Then a helicopter flies over. Get on the ladder we are dropping down and we will fly you to safety. No thanks, I am waiting for God to rescue me says the man.

The man then dies of starvation and arrives in heaven. He says to God why did you forsake me and not rescue me? God replies I sent dolphins, a boat and a helicopter – what more did you want?

So if you have tried tapping for a serious issue without significant results, ask yourself if you feel you CAN fix this or are you still waiting for God to come along and rescue you. Once you remove that block and realise you already have all the power and permission you need to heal yourself, you will literally be amazed at how quickly you can sort out all your issues – including the serious, life-threatening ones.
